👋 Welcome to Our School 

We are delighted to welcome both our new and returning families. We hope these FAQs help answer some of the questions you may have as your child settles into school life. 

🍎 Snacks & Healthy Eating 

• Nursery & KS1 children receive free fruit each day. 

• KS2 children may bring healthy snacks such as fruit, vegetables, cheese, or plain crackers. 

• Please do not send sweets, chocolate, crisps or sugary snacks. 

⚠️ We are a sesame and nut-free school. Please do not send nuts, nut products, sesame seeds, or sesame-containing foods. 

🍽️ School Lunches 

• School lunches are booked through Arbor. 

• Please select your child's meal choices in advance. 

• Contact the office if you need help accessing Arbor. 

🤒 Reporting an Absence 

Please notify the school office on the first day of absence, providing: 

• Child's name 

• Class 

• Reason for absence 

⏰ Wraparound Care (Payable Service) 

All wraparound care sessions must be booked through Arbor at least one week in advance to ensure appropriate staffing levels. Unfortunately, we may not be able to accommodate late bookings. 

🎨 Clubs 

A range of clubs are offered throughout the year, including sports, music and creative activities. Information will be shared via Arbor, Seesaw, and email. 

🏊 Swimming 

Swimming forms part of the National Curriculum. Families will receive details about dates, kit requirements, transport and any contributions before lessons begin. 

🚌 School Trips & Visits 

We aim to provide a wide range of educational visits and experiences throughout the year. 

• Trip information and consent requests will usually be sent via Email & Arbor. 

• Please ensure your contact details and emergency contacts are kept up to date. 

• Payment information (where applicable) will be included with trip communications. 

• Some residential or higher-risk visits may require additional consent forms. 

Please complete permission forms promptly to help us finalise arrangements. 

🩺 Medical Forms & Health Information 

To help keep children safe and supported in school, we ask parents to provide up-to-date medical information. 

Individual Healthcare Plans (IHPs) 

If your child has a medical condition such as asthma, diabetes, epilepsy, severe allergies or another ongoing health need, an Individual Healthcare Plan is required. In line with policy, these are sent annually to parents. 

These plans help staff understand: 

• Your child's medical needs 

• Medication requirements 

• Emergency procedures 

• Any reasonable adjustments required in school 

Please inform the school office of any changes to your child's medical needs throughout the year. 

Food Allergies & Aspens Catering 

If your child has a food allergy, intolerance or special dietary requirement, you must complete the relevant Aspens Catering Allergy/Dietary Requirement Form. In line with policy, these are sent annually to parents. 

This helps our catering team: 

• Provide safe meal options 

• Manage allergens appropriately 

• Ensure dietary information is accurate and up to date 

Please notify both the school office and Aspens immediately if your child's dietary requirements change. 

📱 Seesaw 

Seesaw is our online learning platform where parents can: 

• View their child's work and achievements. 

• Receive updates from teachers. 

• See photos and celebrate learning. 

How do I access Seesaw? 

• Look out for your invitation email. Follow the link to create your account. 

• Download the Seesaw Family App or use a web browser. Log in using the details provided. 

Please check your junk/spam folder if you haven't received your invitation. 

👕 Loved & Shared Uniform 

Our Loved & Shared scheme offers good-quality pre-loved: 

• Uniform 

• School shoes 

• PE kit 

• Coats 

We gratefully accept donations of clean, good-condition items and are happy to support families who may benefit from them. 

Please contact or pop into the school office if you would like to donate or request items. 

🧤 Lost Property 

• Lost property is kept in the Lost Property Bucket outside the school office. Some classes may also keep lost property in their classrooms. 

• Please ensure that all belongings are clearly named. 

• Parents are welcome to check the bucket regularly. 

Please note: We are unable to store lost property indefinitely. Any unclaimed items at the end of each term will be donated through our Loved & Shared scheme or to local charities where appropriate.
