Newlyn Schools governing body and staff are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, ensuring that the highest priority is given to following guidance and regulations to safeguard children.

The staff employed in the school or work as volunteers, will be required to undergo a DBS.

Newlyn School is committed to Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. To achieve our commitment, we will ensure continuous development and improvement of robust Safeguarding processes and procedures that promote a culture of Safeguarding amongst our staff and volunteers.

  • The office staff who will forward your concerns to one of our Safeguarding Officers (Lauren Connolly or Julie Wood)

    and/or

  • MARU (Multi Agency Referral Unit) on 0300 1231 116

For safeguarding concerns during school term time, please contact:

  • Email lconnolly@newlyn.tpacademytrust.org (Safeguarding Officer) or jwood@newlyn.tpacademytrust.org (Deputy Safeguarding Officer) who will forward your concerns to the appropriate person.
