St Piran's Parade
3rd March 2017
Newlyn School's band joined the St Piran's parade as all the local school children marched through Penzance. The parade began at the top of Causeway Head and proceeded all the way down to the bandstand in Morab Gardens. There the crowds sang to the Cornish anthem, Trelawney. It was a rousing scene. Also while we were there, a member of the public told us that we were the best band there by far - a great compliment to the work the children had put in and the dedication and tuition of Mr Hinchliffe.
Many thanks to all the organisers and their helpers for their work in creating such a wonderful celebration of St Piran.
