Tag rugby Trojans
16th May 2016
The Newlyn School tag rugby team took part in the West Cornwall CVOC (Child Victims Of Crime) competition at Redruth RFC today. This is always a well organised event and the children had some great experiences and should be proud of some of their achievemnents.
In their initial group they drew against Mount Hawk 5 - 5, then lost to St Meriadoc 9 - 5 and next narrowly lost to Perranarworthal 4 - 3. The afternoon saw Newlyn play Archbishop Benson. This game was 6 - 6 after normal time, but went to 'golden try'. The try wasn't so golden for us!
The team played with determination and spirit and have a lot to be proud of.
