Rugby Team Through To Next Round
25th April 2019
Newlyn School entered a team in the Penwith Primary Touch Rugby League Festival, held at Hayle Rugby Club. The team was mainly made up of non rugby players with just three regulars. They all played brilliantly; pushing forward trying to score and chasing down the ball holders. I was so proud of them.
The initial games gained them entry into the Cup Competition which started in the afternoon. They found these games a bit more tricky but managed a sixth place in the end.
The touch rugby team have won entry into the next round to be held on 21st May, at the Redruth Rugby Ground.
