Penwith Rugby League Festival
25th April 2018
Newlyn School rugby team took part in the Penwith School Rugby League Touch Festival, held at Hayle Rugby Club. We had a mixture of age groups in the team, including two Class 4 girls. All the children played well, winning their first game 6-0. Twenty teams were split into 4 mini leagues and played 4 games each. Depending on their positions after the morning games they were put into different leagues in the afternoon, to determine the best teams. Newlyn team were in the second placed runners up league. They played some very strong teams, managing 3 wins, 3 loses and 2 drawn games by the end of the day. They finished 8th out of 20 teams. Well done team!
