Eco Reps Attend Conference
14th November 2019
Yesterday our new Eco Reps Alfie and Daisy along with Jasmine, Jenna and Morgan took part in a climate change conference at Humphry Davey School.
The day started with a talk by Chris Lubbe about how 'no one is too small to make a difference'. Chris grew up in South Africa during Apartheid. From a young age he protested against it and was imprisoned and tortured twice. He later went on to become Nelson Mandela's body guard. The children were very moved by his speech and couldn't wait to meet him at lunchtime!
The children then took part in four workshops. They had lots great ideas, some of which they hope to put to the School Council.
They all enjoyed the day
