A Sunny Fish Festival
28th August 2017
It was a lovely sunny day for the Newlyn Fish Festival. Children from school and many on holiday came along to have a go at the 'Fishy Trail'. It was a great opportunity for the children to learn about the different types of fish that are landed here in Newlyn and enjoy the challenge of finding all the fish.
Many thanks to the organisers of the Festival for the gifts that were given to those children who completed the trail, especially Mary and Leah, and the Fisherman's Mission, in particular Keith, for arranging for Newlyn School to have a stall and giving the children free badges.
Big THANKS to Rachel and Adrian Chivers who have helped on the stall every year, six in all. Without their help the Fishy Trail would not have run so smoothly.
